Eligibility:
- Faculty, Staff, and Students are eligible to use products on-campus or on a personal computer.
- The license agreement supports the use of products in instruction and academic research.
- Your license is renewed annually and is only available to active Students, Faculty, and Staff.
Mathematica Desktop:
Licensing Access (Single Machine):
- Go to https://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo/
- Type in your Bates Email Address (username@bates.edu) and click Continue.
- Click the link to download Mathematica for your operating system.
- Sign in with your Bates Username and Password when prompted to activate your account.

- Note: The first time you sign in using your Bates Username and Password, you will be prompted to link it to your Wolfram ID.
Reactivating Mathematica Versions 12.3.1 and Earlier:
- To upgrade to version 13.1 or newer version, follow the instructions above (Licensing Access (Single Machine)).
- If you would like to stay at your current version of Mathematica:
- Go to https://user.wolfram.com/
- Type in your Bates Email Address and select the option to sign in using your Bates Username and Password.
- Note: The first time you sign in using your Bates Username and Password, you will be prompted to link it to your Wolfram ID.
- Select your Mathematica for Sites (Legacy) product, and click the Request Extension button next to your Activation Key.
- An email will be sent to you. Click on the link provided to validate.
- Check your Spam or Junk folder if you do not see the email.
- Restart Mathematica, and your license will automatically be extended.
