As part of adding a new SmartPhone (iOS/Android) or Device to your Bates Duo Multi-Factor Authentication account, you must be able to sign in and authenticate to access your Duo Multi-Factor Authentication settings. If you do not have a way to authenticate (Send Me a Push to your old SmartPhone or device, initiate a Call Me to your old SmartPhone or device, or Enter a Passcode), don't hesitate to get in touch with the IT Service Desk so they may generate a one-time-use passcode for you to authenticate to change your settings.

Step 1:

  • Access your Bates Duo Multi-Factor Authentication account.
    • You may need to access your Bates email or Banner for the Bates Duo Multi-Factor Authentication login window to appear.
    • You may also open a web browser incognito/private session and access your Bates Gmail.

    • Click on one of the following options to authenticate -

      • Enter a Passcode
    • If your phone number hasn't changed and you have the Call Me option set up, you can use that option to authenticate.
    • If you do not have your old SmartPhone or device, don't hesitate to contact the IT Service Desk for a bypass code.

  • Click on the type of device you are adding.
  • Click on the Continue button.
