Information for Graduated Seniors - Class of 2022

As a graduated Senior, Information & Library Services would like to remind you of the following tasks, you should perform before your Google Workspace Account is deleted.

Access to your Bates Google Workspace Account, including your Bates Username and Password, will Expire on Thursday, June 1^st, 2023.

There are several utilities available to assist you with migrating your Bates Google Workspace Account data to a Personal Google Account.

• Utilize the Download your data option available from within the Privacy & personalization (Manage your data & personalization) section in the Manage your Google Account settings for your Bates Google Workspace Account. This is a free option that you can use to Transfer your Content or Download your data from your Bates Google Workspace account.
• VaultMe, is an easy-to-use pay option that you can use to copy, transfer, or back up your Bates Google Workspace Account into another Google Workspace Account.

If you don’t have your own Google Workspace Account, obtaining one is easy and free. Just visit the Create your Google Account website.

Additional Recommendations:

• Update your email address on job and school applications and resumes, and notify family and friends of your new personal email address as soon as possible.
• Change your email address in services such as iTunes, Facebook, other social media sites, shopping websites, such as Amazon, and website subscriptions. 
• If you have set up an Out of Office Message or Vacation Reply, once your account is deleted on Thursday, June 1^st, 2023, your Out of Office Message or Vacation Reply will no longer automatically reply to individuals who are trying to contact you.
• Forward New Messages - If you have set up Automatic Forwarding, once your account is deleted on Thursday, June 1^st, 2023, Automatic Forwarding will no longer automatically forward messages to your personal email account.

Once your Bates Google Workspace Account is deleted, individuals trying to contact you will receive a message that your account no longer exists and the message was not delivered.
