Install the Papercat Printer for a Mac Computer

 Note: You must be connected to Bates Secure to print to the papercat printers.

Step 1:

  • Click on the Apple menu.
  • Click on System Settings... from the drop-down menu.

Step 2:

  • Click on Printers & Scanners from the left Sidebar.
  • Click on the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax... button.

Step 3:

  • An Add Printer window will open with a list of printers.
  • Locate and select the printer with the name papercat.
  • Click on the Add button.

  • As the papercat printer installs, you will see the window below.

  • Once your papercat printer has been installed, it will appear in your list of printers.

Step 4:

Note: When printing for the first time, you may encounter a Hold for Authentication message. This message is completely normal and pops up the first time you print. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  • Print your document to the papercat printer
  • Click the button to restart your print job if you receive the Hold for Authentication message, and you will be prompted to enter your username and password.

  • Your computer name may be displayed in the Name field by default. Replace it with your Bates username.
  • Enter your Bates password.
  • Save your username and password to your keychain for future printing. Just tick the Remember this password in my keychain box.
