You've heard the buzz. Maybe you've even tried it once or twice. But if AI still feels more confusing than useful, or you're just not sure where to begin. You're not alone, and this workshop is for you. Information and Library Services invites you to the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Workshop Series, a two-part series built to help you go from curious to confident.
Part 1: Fundamentals (2 hours)
Part 1 is all about building a real foundation, no jargon, no assumptions, just clear, practical knowledge. You’ll learn how AI works, what it can and can’t do, and how to use it responsibly and effectively.
Part 2: Foundations to Fluency (2 hours)
Now for the fun part. Part 2 is all hands-on. You’ll get to try out AI for yourself. We’ll do real exercises with tools you can use right away, like drafting, editing, summarizing, and brainstorming. You’ll leave with your own toolkit, including two workbooks, and the skills to use AI immediately.
These two workshops are meant to go together, and we encourage you to attend both. Part 1 gives you the foundation; Part 2 puts that foundation to work. Together, they're a complete introduction to AI that's practical, relevant, and built specifically for you! You don’t have to take them back-to-back; take Part 1 one month, Part 2 another. Whatever fits your schedule. Mix and match dates as needed.
