Print to the PaperCat Printers from Your Mobile Device


Note: You must be connected to the Bates Secure WiFi. If you are connected to the Bates Open WiFi, you will not be able to access or print to the PaperCat Printers.


Note: If you are using an Android device, you will also need to download the PaperCut Mobility Print app from the Google Play Store.


Printing from mobile devices is seamless when using the PaperCat printing system, provided you’re connected to Bates Secure WiFi (printing won’t work if you’re on Bates Open WiFi). Once set up, you can print directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device using familiar device-specific menu options and authenticate using your Bates credentials.


Step 1: 

  • From your mobile device, open the appdocument, or content you want to print.


Note:  If you are using an Android device, the print option may be located under a different menu based on the app you are using.


Step 2:

  • Tap on the option to Print.
    • On an iPhone/iPad, tap the Share  or More button (represented by the three vertical dots).
    • On an Android Device, tap the More button (represented by three vertical dots).
      • The Print option may be located under different menu options based on the app you are using.

  • Tap on the Print option.


Step 3:

  • From the Printing Options window, tap on Printer.
    • Tap on PaperCat.
  • Select your Printing Options.
  • Tap on Print.


Step 4:

If you are prompted to sign in:

  • At the sign in windowtype:
    • Username: Your Bates Username (Do not include the @bates.edu)
    • Password: Your Bates Network Password
  • Tap OK to print.
