Forgot your Garnet Gateway PIN

If you forgot your Garnet Gateway PIN, you have two options available.


Option 1:

   Step 1:

 Step 2:

  • In the sign in box, enter your Garnet Gateway User ID.
    • Your Garnet Gateway User ID can be found on your Bates ID and starts with "0000," "0010," or "0011.' 
  • Click on the Forgot PIN button.

 Step 3:

  • Answer your Security Question, and click on the Submit Answer button.

 Step 4:

  • If you have answered your security question correctly, you will be prompted to reset your PIN.

 Step 4A:

  • Once you have successfully reset your PIN and logged into the Garnet Gatewayplease update your Security Question.
    • Click on the Account & Access header.

 Step 4B:

  • Under the Security section, click on Garnet Gateway.

 Step 4C:

  • Click on the Change Security Question button.

Step 4D:

  • Enter your Garnet Gateway PINselect a Question from the drop-down listprovide your Answer, and then click on the Submit button.


Option 2:

  • If you do not know the answer to your Security Question, you must contact the Bates College IT Service Desk at (207) 786-8222. A member of the IT Service Desk team must speak with the account owner to verify identity information.
