Change your Bates Network Password

To change your Bates Network Password, you must sign in to RapidID with your current credentials. 

If you suspect your password may have been compromised, please change it immediately or visit the IT Service Desk with your Bates ID.


Step 1:

  • At the Bates Single Sign-On login prompttype in your Bates Network Username (Do Not Include the "@bates.edu").
  • Click on the Go button.


Step 2:

  • Type in your Bates Network Password.
  • Click on the Go button.


Step 3:

  • If prompted, complete the Duo Authentication process.

Once you have successfully signed in, you will be presented with your RapidID Dashboard.


Step 4:

  • From the RapidID Dashboard, click on your Profile Icon.
  • From the drop-down menu, click on Change Password.


Step 5:

  • Type in your Current Password.
  • Create your New Password.
    • Remember to Review the Password rules.
  • ​​​​​​​Click on the Save button.


Step 6:

  • Don't Forget to Logout!
  • From the RapidID Dashboard, click on your Profile Icon.
  • From the drop-down menu, click on Logout.
