Forgot your Bates Network Password

If you suspect your password may have been compromised, please change it immediately or visit the IT Service Desk


Step 1:

  • Visit https://login.bates.edu.
  • At the Bates Single Sign-On (SSO) Login prompt, type in your Bates Username.
  • Click on the Go button.


Step 2:

  • Click on the Forgot Password link.


Step 3:

  • A text message with a six-digit code will be sent to you. 
  • Enter the code sent to you.
  • Click on the Go button.


Step 4:

  • Create your New Bates Network Password.
  • Review the Password Requirements.
  • Once you have typed in your New Password and Confirmed it, click on the Go button to reset your Bates Network Password.
