Connect to Bates WiFi (Bates Open)

Bates College offers three WiFi networks for individuals on campus. Bates Open is for guests and devices like gaming consoles and smart devices. Bates Secure is the primary network for faculty, staff, and students, providing full WPA2 encryption. Eduroam allows Bates faculty, staff, and students to connect to WiFi at participating institutions worldwide using their Bates credentials, while visitors from those institutions can access the internet using their own credentials.

Recovering Deleted Network Files (Windows Only)

To restore deleted files or folders, you must use a Windows computer and be on campus or connected via VPN. Navigate to the network folder, access Previous Versions via Properties, and locate the needed backup. To restore a folder, select it and click Restore. To recover a single file, open the folder, select the file, and drag it to its original location. Your files will be successfully recovered.
